MPJE Pass Rate – Top Pharmacy Schools

What is the MPJE passing rate of your school ?

MPJE – Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination passing rates for 2017 have been published by NABP. Thomas Jefferson University and South Dakota State University students continue to make the mark by getting 100% MPJE pass rate on first attempt. Passing MPJE is the major step on the way to becoming a practicing pharmacist in the US.

MPJE was attempted by 10111 students, taking the exam for the first time in 2017, registered an 84 percent pass rate, a mark achieved by students from 118 Pharmacy schools across the United States.

We congratulate these students on their individual success as well as their efforts collectively in achieving great MPJE pass rate. Their aptitude on the MPJE is a testament to their commitment to their studies and their future. In addition, we applaud faculty and staff, who take great pride in preparing students with the knowledge and skills they need to develop into highly successful pharmacists.

Typically, the MPJE pass rate fluctuates in the low 91%. In 2017 the overall MPJE pass rate was 84%. That’s almost a 10% drop comparing to 2015 which recorded a MPJE pass rate of 94% on first attempt. A closer look at the data shows that some pharmacy schools with over 90% MPJE pass rates in 2015 dropped significantly to into the 50 and 60 percent range.

MPJE is designed to measure knowledge in Pharmacy Practice, Licensure, Registration, Certification, and Operational Requirements and General Regulatory Processes. The MPJE is comprised of 120 multiple-choice questions and the minimum acceptable passing score for the MPJE is 75.

The MPJE Competency Statements offer a blueprint of the topics covered on the examination. A robust understanding of the Competency Statements will aid in your training to take the examination. The 120 questions on the MPJE are divided among three content areas:

> Pharmacy Practice – 83%

> Licensure, Registration, Certification, Operational Requirements – 15%

> General Regulatory Processes – 2%
